There are four pages:
1) All respondents combined
2) Sorted for Duvall 98019 respondents
3) Sorted for Carnation 98014 respondents.
4) My own attempt to interpret the data to estimate how much revenue an aquatics facility could possibly generate in usage fees, to be self sustaining. I welcome the input of others with regard to this question. I do not profess to be an expert in survey analysis, but I'm pretty good with numbers.
Todd Vining worked closely with me to organize the survey and he set up the account on MonkeySurvey where the data was collected and compiled. In researching how to design the survey and control certain variables we used the website http://www.surveysystem.com/sdesign.htm.
We defined our Target Population as households in the Riverview School district and acquired a phone number data base from which to make our calls. This data base represented 10,349 households. We were able to gather 329 responses, with good representation from each of the zip codes. The above mentioned website offers a handy Sample Size Calculator that indicates the following: with a Confidence Level of 95%, we have a Confidence Interval of 4.31 on the main question of "Would you use an indoor community pool?"
In other words we can be 95% confident that 79% of the population (plus or minus 4.31%) would use an indoor community pool. (Please reference the Sample size Calculator for a more thorough explanation.)
In summary, we did our homework and tried very hard to get good, defendable data.
